There you have it: the long overdue conclusion (so, so, so sorry) to chapter eight. At this point I would like to gently remind you that this is a comic strip, and to not tackle your problems (literally) with violence. Maureen overextended her flirt muscles getting out of this one.
What does the future hold for Wighthouse? Frankly, I’m not sure. There’s a good chance I’ll be working on another comic project with a friend soon. I’m also heading to CAKE at Columbia College in Chicago this weekend (most likely Saturday). If that revs up my comicking spirit, I’ll be thrilled! But I’ll be taking a little break regardless. Whether that’s a week, a month or a year remains to be seen…but I still have plans for Daniel and Celeste. Keep your eyes open and your RSS feeds handy. And as always, thanks for reading!
Shoved a hot pepper up his…?!?! (SPORFLE!) Oh, PRICELESS! And while I would not do this in real life, it is SOOO Cathartic to see someone, even if only in a comic,- take matters into their own hands and REALLY express how they feel!
I will patiently wait to see what happens next, however long your artistic break may last. :D
And thank you for a lovely comic.
Also, a hot pepper up the sporfle sounds painful.
aw, thanks for the support, guys! I will have to start working “sporfle” into spontaneous conversation as well.
Hopefully the comic continues soon, it’s so much fun.
And I wanted to go to CAKE, but don’t think I’ll be able to. >.<
Yikes! I get the feeling I’m coming to this party way too late, but at least I missed the spicy suppositories!
Did somebody lose a thumb as well?
no…if you’re referring to the twitching hand on the bottom, those are just (bloody) chopsticks and a pool of brown sauce with rice.
Well, it’s a shame that you haven’t continued WH yet. It was very entertaining, with good writing and good artwork. You mentioned that you’re probably working on a different project now? Where would that be?
Thanks for your interest! I really wanted to continue Wighthouse at some point — I even did a starting page for the next chapter — but I just couldn’t make it work. Now I’m having a lot of fun doing a bimonthly music comic called Bound by Sound. You can find it at http://boundbysound.us.
It’s funny to re-acquaint myself with this comic after so long – lost it sometime around strip 160 and found it again just this week. Ended withh quite a lot left hanging, uh?
After 6 years, i’m guessing you have no plans to return to it, right?
Well, going to check that other comic anyways, thanks.
